...is to start living it today.
If there is something you want to do, do it now. If there is something you want to say to someone, tell him or her. Don’t wait until tomorrow. Don’t wait until ‘after you retire.’ Even the next second is not guaranteed. Only if we embrace our own mortality, will we be able to live as if each day is our last.
No one knows how many hours, days, weeks, months, or years we have left to live. But yet, look how we spend our precious time. How many hours a day do we watch bad TV or worry about what someone posted on Facebook?
If these activities bring you to life, then go for it. If they bring you down, then it is time to end that relationship. It is the same with people. Be with people who lift you up and not with those who are negative and draining your energy.
If you could do anything, what would you do? What is holding you back? Most of the time it is fear and ego that tell you all the reasons why you will fail. It is time to end the relationship with those negative friends. Finish this sentence – At the end of my life I want to know that…
Here is mine. At the end of my life, I want to know that I had a positive impact on other people. I want to be able to share my experiences, thoughts, and ideas with others with the hope that something I said sparked a change in someone’s life.
The one thing that I want to do is write a book about all that I have done, my travels, and what I learned along the way. I am starting now. Tell someone the one thing you want to do and make it real. Make that commitment public. The clock is ticking. Don’t wait.
